caspase-8 inhibitor is a reversible inhibitor of caspase-6, -8 and granzyme B. It is also known to inhibit caspase-10. Ac-IETD-CHO is a chemical compound with the systematic name N-Acetyl-Ile-Glu-Thr-Asp-aldehyde. It is a synthetic peptide aldehyde derivative and belongs to the class of caspase inhibitors. Ac-IETD-CHO specifically inhibits caspase-8, an enzyme involved in programmed cell death, also known as apoptosis.
