QUICK LINKS

Carboxyethyl-γ-aminobutyric acid (cGABA) is a compound derived from γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which is a central nervous system neurotransmitter. It belongs to the class of gamma amino acids and derivatives, characterized by an amino group attached to the gamma carbon atom. Carboxyethyl- -aminobutyric acid, a polyamine derivative, has been found to induce the formation of Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) transformed lymphocytes in culture when added immediately after EBV infection.
