Campylobacter jejuni Antibody (7711) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Campylobacter jejuni protein of Campylobacter jejuni origin by western blotting (WB). Campylobacter jejuni (7711) antibody is available as the non-conjugated form. Campylobacter jejuni is a Gram-negative, microaerophilic, slender, flagellate, spiral bacterium that plays a significant role in human health as the leading cause of bacterial foodborne infections in the United States. Understanding the structure of Campylobacter jejuni is crucial, as its unique spiral shape and flagella enable motility, allowing navigation through the viscous environment of the intestinal tract. This motility is essential for colonization and infection, helping evade the host′s immune response and establish in the gut. The bacterium′s ability to move toward nutrient-rich areas and away from harmful substances enhances survival and pathogenicity. Campylobacter jejuni is also associated with serious complications, such as Guillain-Barré syndrome, which underscores the importance of studying this pathogen. Most individuals infected with Campylobacter jejuni experience symptoms like diarrhea, cramping, abdominal pain, and fever within 2 to 5 days post-exposure, with the illness typically lasting about a week. In immunocompromised patients, the bacterium can enter the bloodstream, leading to severe, life-threatening infections.
