CALCOCO2 Antibody (F-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CALCOCO2 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CALCOCO2 antibody (F-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CALCOCO2, also known as calcium-binding and coiled-coil domain-containing protein 2 or NDP52 (nuclear dot protein 52), is a 446 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in organizing the actin cytoskeleton and ruffle formation. CALCOCO2 is predominantly localized to the perinuclear region of the cytoplasm and nuclear dots, where CALCOCO2 acts as a subunit of nuclear domain 10 (ND10) bodies. ND10 bodies are thought to be associated with the nuclear matrix and may play a significant role in the life cycles of various viruses, including herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1). CALCOCO2 is expressed ubiquitously, with highest levels found in skeletal muscle, and CALCOCO2 interacts with proteins such as Myosin VI, highlighting CALCOCO2′s importance in cellular processes such as membrane trafficking, cell adhesion, and cytokine signaling. CALCOCO2′s ability to regulate these pathways underscores CALCOCO2′s potential significance in developmental events and cellular responses to external stimuli.
