CAB39L Antibody (Q32) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CAB39L protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CAB39L antibody (Q32) is available as a non-conjugated format. CAB39L protein, also known as calcium binding protein 39-like, plays a crucial role in regulating serine/threonine kinase LKB1, which is essential for maintaining cellular energy homeostasis and tumor suppression. LKB1 is activated through interaction with STRAD alpha pseudo kinase and CAB39L protein, forming a complex that facilitates LKB1 translocation from nucleus to cytoplasm. This localization is vital as LKB1 can exert tumor suppressor functions effectively, and dysregulation of this process can lead to conditions such as Peutz-Jeghers Syndrome, characterized by increased risk of various cancers. Notably, CAB39L has been implicated in carcinogenesis, as CAB39L is found in serum of nearly half of patients diagnosed with acute monocytic leukemia, highlighting potential as a biomarker for cancer progression. CAB39L (Q32) monoclonal antibody′s ability to detect CAB39L across multiple species and applications makes this reagent invaluable for researchers studying cancer biology and cellular signaling pathways.

Can sc-100390: CAB39L (Q32) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-100390: CAB39L (Q32) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
