C3 Antibody (11H9) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody raised against cell-bound C3 of mouse origin, specifically recognizing complement component 3 (C3) protein. C3, also known as CPAMD1 or acylation-stimulating protein (ASP), is a central and pivotal protein in the complement system, a key part of the innate immune response. Synthesized primarily in the liver, C3 circulates in the bloodstream and plays an essential role in opsonization, inflammation, and the activation of the complement cascade via classical and alternative pathways.
