Busan® 85 is an intermediate that has been used in the synthetic preparation of sulfonamide carbonic anhydrase inhibitors suitable as antitumor agents. It also acts as a chelating agent, binding to metal ions and forming a complex. This complex is then able to interact with other molecules and catalyze various biochemical reactions. In addition, it has been found to have immunomodulatory, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer properties.
