BTG4 Antibody (NB-B3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects BTG4 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-BTG4 antibody (NB-B3) is available as a non-conjugated format. BTG4, also known as PC3B, is a member of the B cell translocation gene family, which includes BTG1-4, and is recognized for its role in regulating transcription and acting as an anti-proliferative factor. This 223 amino acid protein is predominantly expressed in the testis and olfactory epithelium, highlighting its potential significance in reproductive and sensory functions. BTG4 expression is often diminished in primary gastric cancer, suggesting a possible role in tumor suppression, as BTG4 may be epigenetically silenced in many gastric cancer cases. BTG4 has been implicated in chronic lymphocytic leukemia, indicating its relevance in hematological malignancies. The conserved N-terminal domain of BTG4, spanning 104-106 amino acids, is crucial for its function, as BTG4 is involved in interactions with other cellular factors that regulate cell cycle progression and apoptosis.
