Datasheets
  • BTBD10 Antibody (B-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 κ BTBD10 antibody, cited in 1 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 89-101 within an internal region of BTBD10 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of BTBD10 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including and equine, canine, bovine and porcine
  • m-IgG3 BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for BTBD10 Antibody (B-1) for WB and IHC(P) applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with BTBD10 Antibody (B-1) (see ordering information below).

BTBD10 Antibody (B-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects BTBD10 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-BTBD10 antibody (B-1) is available as the non-conjugated form. BTBD10, also known as GMRP1, plays a crucial role in cellular processes through involvement in cell growth and survival regulation. BTBD10 functions as a nuclear protein that interacts with protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) to inhibit Akt dephosphorylation, a key signaling molecule in pathways promoting cell survival and proliferation. This interaction suggests BTBD10 may act as a cell death suppressor, making BTBD10 an important factor in cancer biology, particularly in gliomas where expression is down-regulated. BTBD10 is predominantly expressed in adult testis, brain, and small intestine, with lower levels found in colon, lung, liver, kidney, spleen, pancreas, thymus, prostate, heart, and ovary. The presence of BTB (broad-complex, Tramtrack and Bric a brac) domain in BTBD10, known for transcriptional regulation through chromatin structure modulation, further underscores significance in cellular function. BTBD10 is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 11p15.2, highlighting evolutionary conservation and potential importance across species.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-377183 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
