BTB 02472 is a thiourea compound that acts as an active-site-targeting Cox-2 inhibitor. BTB 02472 exhibits better selectivity for Cox-2 than Nimesulide and Celecoxib. At 10.0 µM inhibitor concentration, inhibition of Cox-1 and Cox-2 = 5.1% and 26.36% with BTB 02472; 9.87% and 19.94% with Nimesulide; 12.35% and 40.37% with Celecoxib.
