Brn-2 Antibody (ZD-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects Brn-2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Brn-2 is a member of the Brn family of transcription factors, specifically classified as a class III POU domain protein, and plays a pivotal role in the early embryonic development of the central nervous system. Brn-2 is predominantly expressed during the development of the forebrain and is coexpressed in most layer II-V cortical neurons, where Brn-2 is essential for regulating the initiation of radial migration of cortical neurons.
