BRF2 Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects BRF2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BRF2 (C-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BRF2 plays a crucial role in transcriptional regulation of small nuclear RNAs, particularly in recruiting RNA polymerase III to specific promoters, such as human U6 small nuclear RNA promoter. Unlike BRF1, which forms a stable complex with TATA-binding protein, BRF2 does not create a stable assembly with components, allowing for more dynamic regulation of transcription. This functional distinction is vital for precise control of gene expression, particularly in processes such as cell growth and differentiation, where timely synthesis of small nuclear RNAs is essential. BRF2′s ability to interact with various transcription factors and involvement in transcription machinery underscores BRF2′s importance in cellular function and highlights anti-BRF2 antibody (C-8) relevance in research applications aimed at understanding gene regulation mechanisms.
