BNN3 is a cell permeable, photolabile NO donor (λEm (max): ~300nm). Produces two NO molecules per molecule of BNN3 upon irradiation (300-360nm) with a xenon lamp or laser flashlight. BNN3 causes photo-induced vasorelaxation in rat aortic strips. Also useful for delivering nitric oxide into intracellular compartments in microsecond time scale without any cytotoxic effects.
