BMP-6 Antibody (74219.11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects BMP-6 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-BMP-6 antibody (74219.11) is available as a non-conjugated format. Bone morphogenic proteins (BMPs), including BMP-6, are critical members of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGFβ) superfamily, playing essential roles in bone and cartilage development regulation. BMP-6 is particularly important for mesenchymal stem cell differentiation into osteoblasts, which are responsible for bone formation. This process maintains bone density and integrity, and supports fracture healing. BMP-6 interacts with specific receptors, activating intracellular signaling pathways that promote osteogenesis. BMP-6′s bone formation properties make this protein a significant target for bone-related disease research and regenerative medicine. With high sequence homology to other BMPs, BMP-6 is implicated in various developmental processes, highlighting BMP-6′s importance in both embryonic development and adult tissue homeostasis.
