BML-278 is a selective Sirt1 activator (EC150 = 1μM) structurally based on a dihydropyridine scaffold. It has much weaker effects on Sirt2 and Sirt3. BML-278 is active in whole cells and arrests cell cycle at G1/S phase in U937 cells.
