Blood Group B Antigen Antibody (Z5H-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Blood Group B Antigen protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). Blood Group B Antigen (Z5H-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), providing versatility for different experimental needs. Blood Group B Antigen plays a crucial role in the immune response, as a key component of the ABO blood group system, which is essential for blood transfusions and organ transplants. The presence or absence of Blood Group B Antigen on the surface of red blood cells determines an individual′s blood type, influencing compatibility in medical procedures. Blood Group B Antigen is a mucin-type glycoprotein, characterized by a carbohydrate-rich structure that can undergo various post-translational modifications, such as glycosylation. These modifications affect protein stability, recognition by antibodies, and interactions with other proteins, ultimately influencing immune responses and cellular signaling pathways. Understanding Blood Group B Antigen dynamics and modifications is vital for advancing transfusion medicine and developing targeted therapies for blood-related disorders.
