BKM120 is a small molecule inhibitor. This potent and selective inhibitor targets PI3K, a enzyme involved in critical cellular processes such as growth, survival, and motility. Acting as an inhibitor of the PI3K enzyme, BKM120 curbs cell proliferation, migration, and invasion while inducing apoptosis. BKM120′s influence extends to fibrosis by suppressing the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines.
