Bisoprolol, a β1-selective adrenergic receptor blocker or beta blocker. With its high selectivity towards β1-adrenergic receptors, Bisoprolol acts as an antagonist, effectively blocking their function. Bisoprolol is both lipophilic and water-soluble, swiftly undergoes absorption and metabolism in the liver.
