Biotin-PEG2-Amine is a water soluble biotin derivative that can be readily coupled to activated carboxylic acids. Amino-PEO tether imparts water solubility to this Biotin. The extended chain length (20.4 Å) increases avidin binding. Conjugation to substrates increases the aqueous solubility of the complex. It is used in affinity purification of oligonucleotides.
