Benzo-15-crown-5, also referred to as benzo-15-crown ether, represents a cyclic polyether compound with wide-ranging applications in both organic and inorganic chemistry. This compound is comprised of a five-membered ring consisting of alternating carbon and oxygen atoms, with a benzene ring attached to the central oxygen atom. Its utility extends to various synthetic and analytical processes, including the synthesis of organic compounds, catalysis, and chromatographic separations.
