QUICK LINKS

Benomyl is a benzodiazole pesticide for proteomics research. It is characterized under the benzimidazole fungicide and is known to suppress fungal growth in a wide variety of plants. Its mode of action involves inhibition of tubulin polymerization. It has been reported as an active constituent of DuPont Benlate fungicidal formulations. Kinetics of the degradation of benomyl in various organic solvents has been investigated by spectrophotometric methods. Overall, it has a role as an anthelminthic drug, a tubulin modulator, a microtubule-destabilising agent, an acaricide, and an antifungal agrochemical.
