BCRF1 Antibody (S30) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects BCRF1 protein of Epstein-Barr virus by western blotting (WB) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BCRF1, also known as viral interleukin-10, is a 152 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in immune evasion by mimicking the host′s IL-10, thereby inhibiting the immune response. BCRF1 protein is secreted by the virus and functions to downregulate the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, which is vital for the virus′s survival and persistence within the host. By binding to the IL-10 receptor on immune cells, BCRF1 protein effectively dampens the immune response, allowing the virus to evade detection and destruction by the host′s immune system. The ability of BCRF1 protein to modulate immune responses has significant implications in the context of viral infections and associated diseases, including lymphoproliferative disorders. Anti-BCRF1 antibody (S30) is an essential tool for researchers studying the mechanisms of viral immune evasion and the role of viral proteins in modulating host immune responses.
