BCAR3 Antibody (3G4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects BCAR3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-BCAR3 antibody (3G4) is available as the non-conjugated format. BCAR3, also known as breast cancer anti-estrogen resistance 3, plays a crucial role in the development of antiestrogen resistance in breast cancer, particularly in ZR-75-1 cell lines. BCAR3 is characterized by an 825-amino acid structure, which includes a Src homology 2 (SH2) domain, allowing BCAR3 to interact with various signaling pathways. BCAR3 is involved in regulating R-Ras, which in turn modulates the levels of insulin receptor substrate 1 (IRS-1) in breast cancer cells, highlighting BCAR3′s importance in cellular signaling and cancer progression. BCAR3 expression is observed in multiple human tissues, including the heart, placenta, skeletal muscle, spleen, prostate, testis, ovary, small intestine, colon, and fetal kidney, as well as in tamoxifen-resistant cancer cell lines. BCAR3 interacts with p130Cas, enhancing Src activation and promoting cell migration, which is critical for understanding the mechanisms of cancer metastasis and resistance to therapy.
