    ARHGAP6 Antibody (D-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ARHGAP6 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ARHGAP6 antibody (D-5) is available as a non-conjugated format. ARHGAP6, also known as Rho GTPase activating protein 6 or RHOGAPX-1, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by acting as a GTPase-activating protein specific for RhoA, which is essential for regulating actin cytoskeleton and promoting actin remodeling. ARHGAP6 is predominantly located in cytoplasm, where ARHGAP6 colocalizes with actin filaments, facilitating recruitment of F-actin through its N-terminus. Three SH3 binding domains and a Rho GAP domain in ARHGAP6′s structure underscore functional versatility and importance in various cellular processes, including cell migration and adhesion. ARHGAP6 gene is situated on X chromosome in a region associated with microphthalmia with linear skin defects (MLS), a rare X-linked dominant male-lethal syndrome characterized by severe developmental anomalies. Although ARHGAP6 is absent in MLS patients, ARHGAP6 does not appear to directly contribute to disease pathogenesis, highlighting complexity of genetic interactions in developmental disorders.
