QUICK LINKS

Aramite is a chemical compound that functions as a pesticide. It acts as an insecticide by disrupting the nervous system of insects, targeting the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. This disruption leads to paralysis and eventual death of the insects. Aramite achieves this by inhibiting the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, which is responsible for breaking down acetylcholine. As a result, the accumulation of acetylcholine in the synaptic cleft leads to continuous stimulation of the insect′s nervous system, ultimately causing its demise. This mechanism of action makes Aramite effective for controlling insect populations in agricultural and applications. Its specific mechanism of action at the molecular level may be a asset in studying and understanding the nervous systems of insects.
