APPBP1 Antibody (C-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects APPBP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). APPBP1 Antibody (C-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. APPBP1, also known as β-Amyloid precursor protein-binding protein 1, NAE1 (NEDD8-activating enzyme E1 regulatory subunit 1), HPP1, or ula-1, is a crucial member of the ubiquitin-activating E1 family. APPBP1 is predominantly expressed in fetal tissues and is found throughout the brain in adult tissues, highlighting its significance in neural function. APPBP1 is associated with the cell membrane and acts as the regulatory subunit in a heterodimer with UBA3, forming a complex that binds to and activates NEDD8, a ubiquitin-like protein that plays a vital role in signal transduction, cell proliferation, and development. The interaction between APPBP1 and UBA3 is essential for proper cell cycle progression, particularly at the S/M checkpoint, where APPBP1 inhibits entry into the S phase while promoting entry into the M phase. This regulatory function underscores APPBP1′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and its potential implications in various cellular processes, making anti-APPBP1 antibody (C-2) an invaluable tool for researchers studying these pathways.
