SEE ALSO...

apoOL Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects apoOL protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-apoOL antibody (G-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. apoOL protein, also known as FAM121A, is a 268 amino acid secreted protein that plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism, particularly in cholesterol transport. apoOL is primarily found in high-density lipoproteins (HDLs) and low-density lipoproteins (LDLs), where secretion occurs through a microsomal triglyceride transfer protein-dependent mechanism. apoOL′s importance lies in potential involvement in regulating cholesterol levels and preventing lipid accumulation in the heart, which is vital for cardiovascular health. Additionally, apoOL is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome X, a region containing over 1,000 genes, highlighting this protein′s complexity and significance in various biological processes.
