    SEE ALSO...

apoC-IV Antibody (7-RE36) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects apoC-IV protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-apoC-IV antibody (7-RE36) is available as a non-conjugated format. apoC-IV protein, encoded by human apoC-IV gene located on chromosome 19q13.2, plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism, particularly in regulating triglyceride-rich lipoproteins. This 127 amino acid protein is primarily expressed in liver and modulates lipoprotein lipase activity, an enzyme essential for triglyceride hydrolysis in plasma. apoC-IV protein influences lipoprotein metabolism, maintaining lipid homeostasis and preventing disorders such as hyperlipidemia and cardiovascular diseases. apoC-IV interactions with other apolipoproteins, including apoC-II and apoC-III, underscore its significance in lipid transport and metabolism, making apoC-IV protein a valuable target for metabolic disease research.
