    SEE ALSO...

AP5S1 Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects AP5S1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). AP5S1 (E-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AP5S1, also known as C20orf29, consists of 200 amino acids and is a crucial component of the adaptor protein complex 5 (AP-5), which plays a significant role in intracellular transport by sorting cargo into vesicles for delivery between different membrane compartments. This sorting mechanism is particularly important for endosomal trafficking, which is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and facilitating communication between organelles. AP5S1 is located on chromosome 20p13, a region that encompasses approximately 63 million bases and 600 genes, some of which are implicated in various diseases, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and spongiform encephalopathies. AP5S1′s presence in the AP-5 complex highlights its potential as a target for therapeutic interventions aimed at modulating vesicular transport processes, making AP5S1 a valuable tool for researchers studying cellular dynamics and disease mechanisms.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514823 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
