AP-2α Antibody (3B5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects AP-2 alpha protein of mouse, rat, and human origin through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry (IHC). AP-2α monoclonal antibody (3B5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AP-2 alpha protein is a crucial transcription factor that binds to the DNA consensus sequence CCCCAGGC, initiating the transcription of specific genes. This function is vital for regulating gene expression related to cell growth and differentiation, particularly in ectodermal-derived tissues. AP-2α (3B5) antibody is involved in the regulation of estrogen receptor expression and plays a significant role in the development of various tissues, with mutations in the AP-2α gene linked to serious developmental disorders such as microphthalmia and corneal clouding. AP-2α interacts with other members of the AP-2 transcription factor family, including AP-2β and AP-2γ, which together form the OB2-1 transcription factor complex that upregulates the proto-oncogene c-ErbB-2, often overexpressed in breast cancers. AP-2α′s ability to modulate gene expression highlights its importance in both normal development and disease processes, making AP-2α (3B5) antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying these critical biological pathways.

Which method of Antigen retrieval is the most suitable for this antibody when detects the protein on Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sample?

Can this antibody be used to stain mouse tissue without non-specific binding?

Do you have any KO data or other data to show specificity to AP-2a?
