Anti-Cyanine Antibody (C-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Cyanine in non-species reactive applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-Cyanine Antibody (C-2) is available in both conjugated and non-conjugated forms, providing versatility for various experimental needs. Cyanine, a member of the synthetic dye family belonging to the polymethine group, plays a crucial role in biomedical imaging due to fluorescent properties. The structure of Cyanine dyes, which includes derivatives like Cy2, Cy3, Cy5, and Cy7, is characterized by a partially saturated indole nitrogen heterocyclic nucleus linked to two aromatic units via a polyalkene bridge. This unique structure allows Cyanine dyes to absorb and emit light across a broad spectrum, from infrared to ultraviolet, making Cyanine dyes invaluable in enhancing the sensitivity of photographic emulsions and imaging techniques. Cyanine dyes are chemically unstable and predominantly exhibit green or light blue colors. Anti-Cyanine Antibody (C-2) binding to Cyanine dyes in a linker system further expands experimental applications by facilitating the attachment of small molecule reactive groups to specific enzymes, enhancing precision and efficacy.
