SEE ALSO...

Ang-4 Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Ang-4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Ang-4 antibody (A-6) is available as the non-conjugated form. Angiopoietin-4 (Ang-4) plays a crucial role in regulating angiogenesis and vascular permeability, making Ang-4 an important factor in various physiological and pathological processes, including inflammation and tumor progression. Ang-4 is primarily secreted by adipocytes and interacts with the Tie-2 receptor, similar to Ang-1 and Ang-2, but with distinct functional outcomes. While Ang-1 promotes blood vessel maturation, Ang-4 enhances endothelial cell survival and migration, contributing to new blood vessel formation. Unique expression patterns and functional roles of Ang-4 in different tissues underscore Ang-4′s significance in both normal physiology and disease states, particularly in cancer where angiogenesis drives tumor growth and metastasis. Anti-Ang-4 antibody (A-6) serves as an essential tool for researchers investigating angiogenesis mechanisms and the therapeutic potential of targeting angiopoietin pathways.
