Amisyn Antibody (F-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Amisyn protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Amisyn antibody (F-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Amisyn, also known as Syntaxin-binding protein 6 (STXBP6), is primarily located in the cytosol and plays a crucial role in the assembly of the SNARE complex, which is essential for membrane fusion processes such as exocytosis. Amisyn′s cytosolic localization allows interaction with other SNARE proteins, including Syntaxin 1A and VAMP-2, without being anchored to the membrane, thereby influencing the dynamics of SNARE complex formation. Amisyn contains a v-SNARE coiled-coil homology domain that facilitates these interactions, and Amisyn′s ability to inhibit exocytosis independently of Syntaxin binding suggests a regulatory role in vesicle trafficking. Notably, Amisyn exists in three isoforms, each with distinct amino acid sequences that may contribute to functional diversity, further underscoring the importance of understanding Amisyn′s structure and interactions in cellular processes.
