Aminopeptidase N Inhibitor is a dinitroflavone compound that acts as a selective, reversible, and competitive inhibitor of CD13 (aminopeptidase N). Aminopeptidase N inhibitor displays ~2-3 fold lower inhibition potency than Bestatin (sc-202975), but is not cytotoxic. Aminopeptidase N (APN) is an enzyme that plays a role in the breakdown of proteins by cleaving small peptides from the amino-terminal end of protein chains. An Aminopeptidase N inhibitor is a type of drug or compound that can block the activity of the APN enzyme. By inhibiting APN, the breakdown of peptides can be slowed down or prevented.
