AM-404 is an analog of anandamide (sc-200790), an endocannabinoid transport inhibitor, which does not activate cannabinoid receptors or inhibit anandamide amidase. AM-404 is a derivative of arachidonic acid which can also inhibit arachidonate oxygenation by prostagladin endoperoxide synthase-1 and synthase-2. AM-404 is an activator of VR1 (TRPV1).
