Out of all the household chores I hate the mostOut of all the household chores I hate the most, doing dishes probably at the top because I don't have a dishwasher.

I used to use this stuff to wash glassware and cell trays when I was working in a neuroscience lab. I figured "hey, if it's good enough to clean glassware for a half million dollar research project without leaving any residue It's probably good enough to clean my dishes."

Turns out I was right. If you give you dishes/utensils a quick rinse with hot water after a meal so they're not covered in sauce and leftovers, just throw them in a sink with a plug. Plug up the sink, turn on the hot water and pour in the Alconox. Let it sit for 6-12 hours, drain the sink, rinse the dishes until they aren't slippery anymore and you're done.

Now you know the science nerd's shortcut for doing dishes.
