AGTPBP1 Antibody (LM-1A7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects AGTPBP1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-AGTPBP1 antibody (LM-1A7) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. AGTPBP1, also known as ATP/GTP-binding protein 1, CCP1 (Cytosolic carboxypeptidase 1), KIAA1035, or NNA1, is a 1,226 amino acid protein that plays a critical role in neuronal survival and function. AGTPBP1 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and is expressed at high levels in the testis, heart, and dorsal root ganglia, with lower expression in skeletal muscle and kidney. AGTPBP1′s presence in these tissues is vital, as AGTPBP1 is implicated in the maintenance of Purkinje cells; loss of AGTPBP1 can lead to degeneration of these neurons, which is associated with significant neurological consequences. AGTPBP1 features an ATP/GTP-binding motif of the P-loop type, a leucine zipper, a nuclear localization signal, a zinc carboxypeptidase signature, and a nucleotide-binding site, all of which are essential for enzymatic activity and interaction with other cellular components. AGTPBP1 exists in two isoforms due to alternative splicing, which may contribute to functional diversity in various cellular contexts.
