Adenosine 3′,5′-cyclic Monophosphorothioate,8-Bromo-, Sp-Isomer,Sodium Salt is a potent cell-permeable, metabolically-stable activator of cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA). Adenosine 3′,5′-cyclic Monophosphorothioate,8-Bromo-, Sp-Isomer,Sodium Salt induces guanine nucleotide exchange factor activity of GEFI (Epac) and GEFII towards Rap1 both in vivo and in vitro. The compound is more lipophilic and cell-permeable compared to Sp-cAMPS.
