Adenosine 3′,5′-diphosphate disodium salt (PAP) is used to study the kinetics and mechanisms of hydroxysteroid sulfotransferases such as SULT1A1, SULT2A1. It is an inhibitor of hydroxysteroid sulfotransferases. Additionally, it is a key component of the adenosine triphosphate (ATP) cycle and plays an important role in energy metabolism, cell signaling, and gene expression. Adenosine 3′,5′-diphosphate disodium salt is also involved in the synthesis of DNA, RNA, and other nucleic acid components.
