SEE ALSO...

Adducin γ Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects Adducin γ in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Adducin γ antibody (D-11) is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile experimental use. Adducin γ is a crucial member of the adducin family, which consists of cytoskeletal proteins encoded by three distinct genes (α, β, γ). Adducin γ plays a vital role in organizing the cortical actin cytoskeletal network, essential for maintaining cell shape and stability. Adducin γ localizes at the spectrin-actin junction of the plasma membrane, highlighting its importance in linking the cytoskeleton to the plasma membrane, facilitating cellular processes such as signal transduction and cell motility. Notably, Adducin γ shows ubiquitous expression, contrasting with Adducin β, which is predominantly found in brain and hematopoietic tissues. Understanding Adducin γ function and dynamics is critical, as alterations in expression or activity can have significant implications in various physiological and pathological conditions, including those related to cytoskeletal integrity and cellular responses to stress.
