ADAMDEC1 Antibody (LL-17) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ADAMDEC1 protein of human origin by immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ADAMDEC1 antibody (LL-17) is available as a non-conjugated format. ADAMDEC1, also known as decysin, is a 470 amino acid secreted protein that plays a crucial role in the immune system by modulating dendritic cell activity, which is essential for initiating and regulating immune responses. Found primarily in dendritic cells of the small intestine, spleen, and lymph nodes, ADAMDEC1 is induced during cell maturation in response to T-cell signals, highlighting ADAMDEC1′s importance in adaptive immune response. ADAMDEC1 can bind one zinc ion per subunit, which is vital for structural integrity and function. ADAMDEC1 features a peptidase M12B domain and a prematurely terminated disintegrin domain, but unlike other ADAM family members, lacks an intracellular tail and cysteine-rich domain, which may influence ADAMDEC1′s unique role in immune regulation. Anti-ADAMDEC1 antibody (LL-17) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying immune modulation mechanisms and monocyte-to-macrophage differentiation, as ADAMDEC1 expression increases during this process.

Can sc-100478: ADAMDEC1 (LL-17) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-100478: ADAMDEC1 (LL-17) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
