    SEE ALSO...

ADAM4 Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ADAM4 protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ADAM4 Antibody (D-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ADAM4, a member of the disintegrin and metalloproteinase (ADAM) family, plays a crucial role in cellular processes such as proteolysis, adhesion, and signaling, which are vital for normal physiological functions. ADAM4 is predominantly expressed in the testis, where ADAM4 is involved in spermatogenesis and the fusion of sperm and egg cells, highlighting ADAM4′s importance in reproductive biology. ADAM4 is found at lower levels in various adult tissues, indicating potential roles beyond reproduction. ADAM4′s structure includes a disintegrin domain that facilitates interactions with other proteins, which is essential for function in cell adhesion and signaling pathways. Peptides targeting the disintegrin domain of ADAM4 have been shown not to disrupt the attachment of spermatogenic cells to Sertoli cell surfaces, suggesting a nuanced role in maintaining cellular interactions during spermatogenesis.
