ADAM28 Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects ADAM28 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ADAM28 antibody (H-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ADAM28, also known as MDC-L, is a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease) family, which consists of over 30 membrane-anchored, glycosylated, zinc-dependent proteases that play crucial roles in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. ADAM28 is primarily located on the cell surface, where ADAM28 facilitates cell adhesion through interaction with integrin α4β1, a process vital for lymphocyte migration and function. ADAM28 is highly expressed in lymphocytes and the epididymis, indicating a significant role in immune response and reproductive processes. The gene encoding human ADAM28 is located on chromosome 8p12, and unique structural features, including a metalloprotease domain and a disintegrin domain, contribute to functional diversity and importance in various physiological processes, such as fertilization and modulation of neurogenic signaling pathways.

Hi, which protocol do you use to obtain this wb result? (milk?bsa? dilutions?...) Anticorps ADAM28 (H-4): sc-514228

Asked by: CatG
Thank you very much for your inquiry. In Western Blot applications, we suggest this antibody in a starting dilution of 1:100, incubation 1 hour at room temperature. For the blocking solution and antibody diluent, we recommend our TBS Blotto A. You will find additional information in our protocols available online.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with ADAM28 (H-4): sc-514228?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
