Datasheets
  • ACOT9 Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 κ ACOT9 antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 11-29 near the N-terminus of ACOT9 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of ACOT9 of mouse, rat, human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgG3 BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for ACOT9 Antibody (G-6) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with ACOT9 Antibody (G-6) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

ACOT9 Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects ACOT9 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ACOT9 antibody (G-6) is available as the non-conjugated form. ACOT9, also known as acyl-CoA thioesterase 9, ACATE2, or mitochondrial acyl-CoA thioesterase of 48 kDa, plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism by catalyzing the hydrolysis of acyl-CoA to produce coenzyme A and free fatty acids. This enzymatic activity is vital for maintaining cellular lipid homeostasis, as ACOT9 regulates the levels of fatty acids and acyl-CoAs, which are essential for various metabolic processes. ACOT9 consists of 406 amino acids and features a conserved C-terminal domain that is believed to be important for its catalytic function. Located on chromosome X, ACOT9 is expressed predominantly in the mitochondrion, highlighting its significance in mitochondrial fatty acid metabolism. ACOT9′s ability to modulate fatty acid levels makes ACOT9 a key player in energy production and storage, as well as in the regulation of signaling pathways associated with metabolic diseases.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514330 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
