QUICK LINKS

8-iso Prostaglandin E2 isopropyl ester is a more lipophillic derivative of 8-iso PGE2 (sc-205172) which is the epimer at C-8 of PGE2 (sc-201225), which has shown both vasoconstriction and vasodilation activity (depending on the tissue). This compound is believed to be hydrolyzed to the free acid under physiological conditions, ultimately yielding 8-iso PGE2. These prostaglandin analogues are integral for structure-activity studies used in the deconvolution of these complex biochemical pathways.
