7-Nitroindazole sodium salt is a NOS1 (nNOS) inhibitor. 7-Nitroindazole sodium salt provides a useful tool for the study of nitric oxide (NO) activity in the brain as it is a more soluble salt form of 7-nitroindazole (sc-3569) in artificial cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), which permits its use as an inhibitor of NOS1 in rat brain tissue.
