6-Keto-prostaglandin F (6-keto PGF) is the non-enzymatic hydrolysis product of prostacyclin (PGI2; sc-201231), and has therefore been used to measure the production of PGI2. Multiple tautomers of 6-Keto-prostaglandin F exist - at least one keto-form and two lactol-forms. Research has suggested that 6-Keto-prostaglandin F might counteract the action of prostacyclin.
