6-Iodoacetamidotetramethyl Rhodamine (Technical grade) is a thiol reactive fluorescent probe for the labelling of proteins. Rhodamine dyes are useful for fluorescence microscopy because of their brightness and resistance to photobleaching. They are particularly useful in studies directed at probing changes in orientation and mobility of proteins using fluorescence anisotropy measurements. Please note this product is a technical grade and it contains a mixture of the 6-Iodo and 6-chloro.
