QUICK LINKS

6-Hydroxy Etodolac functions as an anti-inflammatory by suppressing the function of cyclooxygenase, an enzyme responsible for generating prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are molecules involved in the inflammatory process. By inhibiting cyclooxygenase, 6-Hydroxy Etodolac decreases prostaglandin production, ultimately leading to inflammation reduction. Furthermore, 6-Hydroxy Etodolac serves as an analgesic by impeding the activity of adenosine deaminase, an enzyme.
