QUICK LINKS

6-Carboxyfluoresceine diacetate is used to differentiate apoptotic cells from viable cells. The difference comes from the fact that live cells that are not apoptotic accumulate 6-carboxyfluorescein but do not accumulate annexin. It is an intermediate in the synthesis of other compounds and can also be used as a scaffold or building block for the synthesis of more complex compounds.
